A structure that has been given a modern day function. There are two types of repurposed buildings: The first group is Heavily Altered Buildings – structures that are almost unrecognizable from their historic appearance
Rehabilitated
A structure that has been given a modern day function. Two types of repurposed buildings: The second group are buildings with Historically Conscience Alterations (In preservation terms “Rehabilitations”) – changes made to these buildings were done with minimal damage to the historic fabric
Restored
The structure has been altered so that it depicts a particular period of time in its history, while removing evidence of other periods.
Stabilized
The structure is being maintained in its current state and repairs are made to prevent further deterioration
Reconstructed
A recreation of what was there historically for interpretive purposes .
